Today I have begun working on the projects section of this blog. I started by adding Genesis, my spritesheet assembling application which has saved me and others quite a bit of work in the past. Genesis is currently undergoing some major refactoring to ensure better maintainability of the codebase and to get rid of some really obscure bugs created by my massive abuse of the winform controls. More projects will be added to this section soon.
A project Codenamed CaveX which is getting most of my focus, has also made some progress the past few days. The latest addition is a gamestate management system and a pretty neat rope rendering algorithm that lets me freely specify the amount of twists it should have during runtime, it’s also scalable completely without any pixelating issues.
More info on CaveX is comming soon, but in the meanwhile you can stare in awe at this incredibly amazing screenshot of the latest alpha test.
